Bacteriostatic Water

Use: Reconstitution of multi-use compounds.

Properties: Sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol. The alcohol acts as a preservative to inhibit microbial growth, allowing for repeated withdrawals from a single vial.

NAD+ (Oxidized Form)

Research Role: Vital coenzyme for redox reactions. In the lab, it is added to reagents to study mitochondrial electron transport and sirtuin (longevity gene) activation.

Glutathione (GSH)

Research Role: The master antioxidant. Used as a control standard in assays measuring oxidative stress and reactive oxygen species (ROS) neutralization.
